Anatomy Scan to Check Organ Placement & Size...

We have had so many ultrasounds that this one snuck by all of us.  Dr B told us last week that we'd be having our ultrasound to specifically check the organs and everything on Sydney to make sure they are present, in their right places, and developing normally.  YAY!  We get to see her again  :)


At every ultrasound, Sydney has been moving all around.  She's never been real still and it's made it hard for the tech to get measurements because she's so active.  Well, not today!  LOL  Sydney was sound asleep.  Her heartbeat was strong at 142 beats per minute.  She was snoozing with her head beside Roy, face down, belly down, and butt in the air!  LOL  It was cute!!!  The poor ultrasound tech had a hard time getting all of the measurements because of Sydney's position and her relation to the fibroid, which kept getting in the way of a picture.  The tech kept mashing and wigging the probe around my belly trying to wake Sydney, but Sydney wasn't giving up her comfy space!  She'd wiggle a little, but go back to sleep!  LOL  We ended up not getting any face pictures because she wouldn't move much, but we did get a couple of cute pictures.  More importantly, everything was where it was suppose to be, measured what it should, and appeared to be developing normally. 

Sydney is for the first time measuring smaller now.  She's measuring 22 weeks and 6 days, which is actually close to her original due date.  Dr B said he's not moving it back though, and that Sydney & I should be going through a growth spurt in the next several weeks.  He said it's not a big deal.  She's weighing in at 1 lb 4 oz this week!  Growing big and strong!!!  YAY

Dr B decided not to check my cervix because the ultrasound had irritated Roy and I was cramping from it.  Said he'll check it next week when I come in for my shot.
