I can't remember if I've mentioned it before or not, but with all of the losses we've had, I really wanted to purchase a Doppler so that we could listen for baby's heartbeat at any time we felt nervous. Those things are expensive!!! One of my dear friends on BabyCenter passed on a great deal she found on a Doppler. It's usually $349.99 but was on sale for $52.95, so we bought one right away.
This evening, it was stormy out and we lost power. My husband and I were sitting in the living room wondering what to do when we decided to pull out the Doppler and see if we could hear the baby yet. We've been trying for several weeks already with no luck, but figured no better time than now to try again. We're 11 weeks now, so who knows. Well, guess what! We found it!!!!! Baby's heartbeat was 150 beats per minute and sounded very strong!
We were SO excited. Our 15 year old daughter was out of state visiting with my family, so we called her on the phone so she could hear it too. Not only did she get to hear it, but so did my parents. How amazing!!!!
For those who are interested in a Doppler, I love ours! In fact, I just checked and it's still on sale. Check it out: http://www.pulseoximeteronline.com/sonoline-b.html
