Two Week Wait...

The 2ww (two week wait) is what we call the time from ovulation to the time that pregnancy can be picked up on home pregnancy tests.  Therefore, we're in our two week wait... and it's already making me nuts!  LOL  I was curious as to how long it takes from ovulation for implantation to take place, assuming that fertilization takes place.  What did I learn?

I learned that ovulation typically occurs from day 7 - 8, although it can occur later in the 2ww (but the later it occurs, the higher the incidence of miscarriage).

Why was I so curious about implantation???  Well, when I miscarried my triplets in Sept/Oct 2010, my OB told me I had a fibroid on the left side of the uterus.  He told me that although implantation of the baby egg/blastocyst (what kind of name is that for my new baby anyway?) can occur just above the fibroid, it can't implant ON the fibroid.  But he didn't feel the need to surgically remove it at this time because he feels there is "plenty of room on the right side and just above it."  I don't like surgery, so this was good news to me, as long as it wasn't terribly hindering my chances of conceiving.

What does this mean?  Basically, to me, it means that I want my baby to implant on the right side.  How do I help facilitate this????  I lay on my right side at night, I lean to my right side while lounging around the house... I just haven't figured out how to lean to the right while I walk!  LOL  I'm kinda hoping gravity will help baby implant on the right  :)

Some of the ladies on BabyCenter.com suggested for a laugh that I hula-hoop - LOL  That's a funny thought
